~~~~~~ Introduction to The Rogue Squadron: Guild Wars ~~~~~~

Rogue Squadron is an laid back, active, and friendly guild interested in expanding our guild and creating a welcoming atmosphere for new and experienced players who just want to enjoy the game. We are expierienced and welcome newcomers to any of the four campaigns.

~~~~~~ Who we are ~~~~~~

Rogue Squadron is not solely a Guild Wars gaming guild. . At the time of this writing, we are currently heavily involved in Counter Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Team Fortress 2 and Guild Wars, with smaller branches in games like Battlefield 2 & 2142 and Call of Duty.

Rogue Squadron was officially formed as a Guild Wars guild. Our official formation was back in August of 2005, but our clan was not officially formed until early 2006. Since our creation we have been and continue to be a very tight knit group of individuals. Our Guild Wars ranks are comprised of people that enjoy in many aspects of the game.

~~~~~~ What we do ~~~~~~

Currently our Guild Wars division is involved in the following:
- Prophecies - Factions - Nightfall - Eye of the North -

- PvE and storyline completion
- High level PvE such as UW/FoW/DoA/Dungeons
- Farming/group efforts
- PvP: RA/TA/AB/Scrims with desire to form a GvG and HA following

Rogue Squadron is currently Kurzick alligned
Our current alliance is with Dink (as of 3/12/07)

~~~~~~ Getting Started ~~~~~~

So you want to enlist in our ranks? Excellent!

For our Guild Wars division we have 2 available levels of membership.

1. Guild Member (Most commonly cleared and invited ingame)

An official guild member will receive all of our respects and privileges just the same as anyone else that is part of the clan. They will not, however be officially sanctioned as a part of //RS Clan. You will still be able to use ventrilo and our forums, but you will not be permitted to wear the //RS tag outside of guild wars and will not have the private forum access that our clan members have.

Requirements : Owns and is an active player of Guild Wars and/or Guild Wars: Factions and/or Guild Wars: Nightfall. Age 16+. Ventrilo voice software installed.

This category is best for more casual Guild Wars players or those that already have commitments with other clans/guilds in other games we may be involved in. If you are not one of those two, we do encourage you to become a full clan member.

2. Clan Member (requires application in our recruitment forum, pending to agreement of our rules and regulations posted here)

An official clan member is exactly that; an official clan member. Like Guild Members they will have access to all of our resources; ventrilo, site, forums and private forums etc. Clan members will also be permitted to wear our well renowned //RS tag in our official games. Keep in mind we do have many members playing many games, so if you enjoy those as well as guild wars, you may want to become part of our more immediate family.

Requirements: Owns and is an active player of Guild Wars and/or Guild Wars: Factions and/or Guild Wars: Nightfall. Age 18+. Ventrilo voice software installed.

We would certainly encourage everyone to become full fledged clan members, but if it is not possible, we will not think any less of you.

~~~~~~ Guild Privileges ~~~~~~

Members of The Rogue Squadron guild are entitled to the following:

Guild Roster - Our guild is full of friendly and informative people that have been playing for quite a while. Everyone here is pretty easy going and enjoys conversing with other gamers. If you have any inquiries, need help, need advice or just want to talk to someone, they are the ones to talk to.

Alliance - We extend our best efforts to keep our guild aligned with a beneficial alliance. Therefore, all guild members reap the benefits of this guild of guilds relationship. If our members are unavailable, or you are simply looking for someone else to talk/play with, try out guild chat or jump onto one of their voice communications servers.

Guild Privileges - We currently have a very well stylized cape (pictured in the opening banner) and hunters isle with NPCs. In our hall you will be able to join/conduct scrimmages, access storage, join alliance battles etc.

Ventrilo voice communications - We maintain many services for our guild and ventrilo is one of them. For guild wars players we have 2 separate channels: One for official members only and one for members as well as any guests they may have brought around that are playing with them. (labeled Guild Wars and Guild Wars Public respectively) Our voice server is constantly monitored and should have enough room for everyone. If you are organizing something or would like to bring other people onto our vent whilst playing guild wars, please feel free to do so in our public channel.

Note: Ventrilo is free voice communication software that our clan and guild uses to quickly converse with one another. To participate you need speakers and a mic if you would like to be able to talk, as well as a ventrilo client. Ventrillo can be downloaded free at http://www.ventrilo.com and our server information is posted here

http://www.RogueSquadronClan.com - Members will have access to our site and forums, as well as any posts that they may want to participate in in our forums. We have threads going such as requests, service proposals, trade etc.

XFIRE - Yes, XFIRE is not exactly exclusive to our clan, but to keep in touch with our members you can quickly add our members IDs from this thread XFIRE is a free client that is comparable to MSN for gamers. It can be downloaded at http://www.XFIRE.com

~~~~~~ Notes ~~~~~~

- Weekly clan and guild meetings are held weekly on Monday at 8:30 CST. Clan members are required to attend, or leave note of their absence prior to the meeting. Guild members that are not clan members are not required to attend meetings, but are strongly encouraged to do so.

- Guild and/or clan members that are on the Rogue Squadron guild roster will be removed after 2 or more months on inactivity unless we have been notified with reason of your absence.
